The publication of the Bibliography will be made easier by the ability of contributors to directly input the details of submissions to the site. Indexed information such as author details, subjects, references, etc., from the extensive IMB database can be searched and selected for insertion into new records, removing the possibility of creating redundant or duplicate information.
Once completed, publication and article information for the IMB entries are batched together for submission and checking by the IMB office in Leeds, before being accepted for further processing and final insertion into the next edition of the printed Bibliography.
Dr Alan Murray of the University's Institute for Medieval Studies commented that the team had been waiting for 15 years for a user friendly distributed application to enhance their ability to publish the IMB.
